For the past fifty years, Susan K. Burgess has painted on-site (en plein air) in her native coastal New England, as well as travel sites in western USA, Italy, Portugal, and the Caribbean, combining a keen eye with her love of nature and exploration. She earned a B.A. in Studio Art, a Master’s equivalence in Art Education, and Graduate Certificates in both Management and Graphic Design, and continues to take workshops in various disciplines. During her long career, she has taught art to children in public schools as well as to senior citizens in a residential enrichment program, managed both a community art gallery and a department of a world-class museum. She is an award-winning juried artist member of both Marblehead (MA) Arts Association and Cambridge (MA) Art Association.
